Can I convert the handwritten notes recorded by the Slate to text on my device?

The Slate2, as the Slate1, digitizes your notes in real time with the Imagink app when you are in Live mode. In Screenless mode, the Slate saves them automatically in thanks to its embedded memory.

In both cases, your notes are recognized by Imagink, which allows you to modify and organize your notes as you wish. Your notes can then be converted and exported to PNG format or as a vectorial SVG file, leaving you the possibility to use handwriting recognition software (OCR) to convert your notes into a text file. This software is not included in the Slate pack.

We are currently working with leading actors in handwriting recognition and plan to develop a dedicated application for notetaking with integrated handwriting recognition.
